Approximately 1000 were built but of these only 42 were delivered in right hand drive.
This 1982 example is not only one of the rare right hand drive examples, it is also the very first one delivered to the U.K. and accordingly became the Maranello Concessionaires demonstrator and ‘Press Car’. It was featured in all their publicity material and appeared in numerous magazines including ‘Car’, ‘The Motor’ and ‘Motorsport’ often on the front cover and centrefold.

Description
Vehicle story
The introduction of the Bosch “K – Jetronic” fuel injection system delivered the same power as the earlier carburettor model but Ferrari claimed it ran a lot cleaner and with greater fuel efficiency. Now, if these things are important to you it may be that you are looking at the wrong car. In the day to day running of the car the fuel injection makes engine start up significantly more reliable and gives instant and easy drivability with more torque at lower revs. No more ‘departure anxiety’ with this 512, it starts instantly, without fuss and quickly settles down with a potent burble coming from the stainless steel sports exhaust.
Offered for sale with a documented low mileage and a freshly rebuilt engine with new valves and guides. The car was fully serviced less than 300 miles by the highly regarded Ferrari specialist, Bob Houghton. At the same time the wheels were refurbished, new Michelin TRX tyres fitted and a new battery installed. The clutch was replaced at 16,951 miles so has covered less than 1,700 miles. The car has tools, car cover, handbook, service record and the all-important Ferrari Classiche Certification.
Rosso Corsa (FER 300) paint, Sabbia (VM3234) Leather, Castoro carpets.
Odometer reading in March is 18,609 miles
