This beautiful Land Rover 109 with a 3.5-litre V8 engine was built as an emergency vehicle for the fire brigade in Oberriet, St. Gallen, and was first registered on 9 June 1983. In 2002, with around 16’000 km on the clock, the Landy moved to Oberaargau, where it served the RUWO fire brigade in Ursenbach until September 2013. The car was then taken over by a Land Rover dealer in Hinwil and disappeared into his private collection until January 2025. After a brief detour to the canton of Ticino (with a day licence), the 109 was taken over by the consignor at the end of 2025. He also did not register the former fire engine and added it to his small collection. Due to space constraints, he now wishes to part with this potential workhorse. With only 19’719 km on the clock, a service booklet and logbook from the RUWO fire brigade, the Land Rover is in good condition and ready to drive. Due to its long period of inactivity, a service is certainly recommended before the gnarled Brit is driven regularly again. The last MOT was performed in August 2002.
