History: Created to celebrate the legacy of the legendary 507, the BMW Z8 is much more than just a roadster: it is a neo-retro work of art designed by Henrik Fisker. Beneath its sculptural aluminum curves lies the fiery temperament of the E39 M5, with its 400-hp 4.9L V8 paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission. With only 5,703 units produced, the Z8 is now a prized collector’s item whose value continues to rise, offering a raw, “analog” driving experience that has become impossible to find in modern production cars.
This example was delivered new in June 2001 in Germany and has had three owners. The car arrived in France in 2023 and has French registration papers. Purchased from Thiesen by the current owner, the car comes with an exceptional service record attesting to a flawless history and a rare level of maintenance.
This BMW Z8 in the very rare “Stratus Grey” color is sold with all its original accessories specific to the Z8: specific production booklet #AF78793, protective cover, owner’s manuals, hardtop and hardtop mount, phone, etc.
Condition: The car features a rare color combination with its Stratus Grey paint and cream interior. This metallic gray with golden highlights and the beautiful cream leather interior make it particularly desirable.
The car is in excellent overall condition: the paint has a beautiful sheen, the wheels and chrome trim are in very good condition, the soft top was replaced in 2021, and the hardtop and its support are in excellent condition.
Inside, the leather is in excellent condition, perfectly preserved, as are the carpets. The trim, painted to match the body color, also looks great, and all the dashboard instruments are functional. The car is equipped with heated seats, cruise control, a 6-CD changer, a wind deflector, and a phone.
Mechanically, the car has always been serviced through the BMW network and is in excellent condition. It has just undergone a pre-sale inspection; four new tires have been installed, and it has passed its roadworthiness test.
